Most of us will know of someone who has had their life affected by cancer or heart conditions. This module gives you extra peace of mind, when it comes to protecting yourself and your loved ones from these two major health concerns.

At HSA, our main aim is to get you fit and well again and with this private healthcare module you have more control over your treatment. We enable you to get quicker access to a consultant, regardless of where you live. Our experienced advisers will organise your appointments and take care of all the details you just have to concentrate on getting better.

What is covered ?
This healthcare module has a cash limit of up to £30,000 towards the cost of treating any heart condition and another £30,000 towards treating any cancer. Claiming for one condition will not affect your claim for the other.

Cancer treatment

All surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, oncology, other drugs, routine critical care, reconstructive surgery, skin grafts and post-treatment care, up to the limit of £30,000 during your membership. In our experience, this will cover the majority of your surgical procedures, as shown below:

• Breast surgery £5,000
• Prostate surgery £8,000
• Bowel surgery £12,000
• Radiotherapy (per course) £8,000 - £12,000
• Chemotherapy (per course) £8,000 - £25,000

Heart treatment

All surgery (such as open heart surgery, by-pass surgery and pacemakers), drugs, routine critical care and post-treatment care, up to the limit of £30,000 during your membership. In our experience, this will cover the majority of your surgical procedures, as shown below:

• Heart by-pass surgery £11,500 - £12,500
• Heart valve surgery £11,500 - £12,500
• Angioplasty (depending on procedure) £5,000 - £12,000
  

What is not covered? 

• Conditions that were present before taking out the plan, for a period of 2 years (i.e. Pre-existing conditions)
• If you've had heart surgery before joining the plan
• Cancer treatment if you've been diagnosed or treated for cancer before joining the plan
